Our Beginner+ Road Ride will start Monday April 29th – 6:00 PM.
This ride is for those not yet fully comfortable with riding on the roads, in traffic, or in groups. We’ll take it at a slow pace but you should be in good enough shape to ride for 1.5 – 2 hours. This will be a fun way to work on your basic road riding skills and your confidence while building your endurance.
We will meet at Centennial Park on First street, just east of Taft Ave. (east of the ball diamonds) at 6:00 PM. Depending on the group we will either ride the bike path or head out on 1st Street west to County Road 29, go south to County Road 21 and then back to the park. It’s about 18 miles.
We will have a brief explanation in the parking lot about basic riding etiquette, signaling and so forth.
Be sure to wear a helmet and have a spare tube, pump and make sure your tires are inflated and ready to ride.
All levels are welcome but this is a beginner ride and we will be going at a more moderate pace.
Loveland Cycling Club facilitates this ride and each rider assumes responsibility for themselves during the ride. The rides are no drop, meaning if you do get separated from your group we will regroup.
Hope you can come out and join us.
