The Monday morning beginner ride will now start at 8:30 AM.
Starting time for the Saturday morning road ride will change to 8:00 AM on 9/21/19. We will keep it at 8:00 for a few weeks then change to 9:00 depending on the weather. We will continue to meet at Centennial Park.
We hope that no one ever has an accident or medical emergency when riding, but we would like to be better prepared if we do have such an incident on a Loveland Cycling Club ride.
To help us respond in an emergency, Loveland Cycling Club will require that all riders on a Loveland Cycling Club ride – member or not – have on their person documentation of an emergency contact person and contact phone number. This can be in the form of a Road-ID type bracelet or simply written down on a card or paper in your jersey pocket or seat bag.
We thank you for following this requirement. We hope to never need the information, but want to be prepared if we do.
We will be having a ride on Monday morning for Labor Day. It will not be the Monday morning beginner ride that Pam has been hosting (thanks to Pam for leading this ride this summer). It will be a ride for all levels. If we have enough riders we can divide up for varied lengths or speeds. We will start at 8 AM from Centennial Park. Hope to see you all there.
Please have a safe Labor Day weekend!!
Saturday August 17th at 7 AM at Centennial Park parking lot. We will be heading to Hygiene out and back and possibly add on some side loops depending on the desire of the group. The route below is a little off because on the map it starts at the shop rather than the park but gives you an idea.
As always LCC facilitates this ride but each rider is responsible for their safety and equipment.
This Saturday we are going to offer two rides. For those who want to go long and climb we are going to do Glade road, north along the east side of Horsetooth, then up over Rist Canyon, and back through Buckhorn and Eden Valley. Approximately 70 miles and 6500 ft of climbing. See map below.
For those who don ‘t want to go that far, or don’t have the time, you can go with us to Horsetooth and then come back down the new bike path on Shields – Taft.
NOTE WE WILL START FROM CENTENNIAL PARK THIS WEEK AND WILL CONTINUE WITH THIS AS OUR STARTING LOCATION UNTIL THIS FALL WHEN OUR STARTING TIME CHANGES AND BREAKAWAY CYCLES IS OPEN WHEN WE START.
As always this is a ride facilitated by Loveland Cycling Club but each rider is responsible for their own safety and gear. As the longer ride is unsupported please be sure to bring plenty of fuel, both to drink and to eat. This will be a no drop ride in that we will regroup.
We really hope to see you all there,
Cyclists — plan to attend the Loveland Connect Transportation Fair – communicate your ideas to the city regarding bicycling, pedestrian, vehicle and alternative transportation needs in Loveland. This is a great opportunity to share your ideas and impact the future of transportation in Loveland!
Very sorry but the BBQ for tonight has been canceled due to the wet weather and the forecast for more. The shelter at Mahaffey Park was very wet so we will postpone and try for another day. We will try it again on 7/9/19. More info to follow.
The Monday morning ride starting from Centennial Park will change to 8:00 AM due to the warmer weather starting on 6/24/19.
See you there!!
Saturday morning group road ride – time changing to 8 AM starting 6/8/19 – the sun is up and it is getting warmer – we will change to 7 AM in a couple of weeks depending on how the weather is looking.
This Saturday June 8th we will have an A and a B ride leaving from Breakaway Cycles at 8 AM. A ride will be intermediate at 17 to 18 mph and B ride will be moderate at 14 to 16 mph. Route to be determined.
Loveland Cycling Club facilitates this ride and each rider assumes responsibility for themselves during the ride. The rides are no drop, meaning if you do get separated from your group we will regroup.
Please come out and join us, we would love your company.
See you there,
